In random order, my favorite ten cities/towns:
- Chicago: Home-base and one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
- London: A history & literature lovers paradise. I spent 5 wonderful months in London in 1990.
- Athens, Georgia: The Georgia Bulldogs, REM, and former home of the US Navy Supply Corps School. Fun Town.
- Auckland, New Zealand: Beautiful!
- Galway City, Ireland: Exciting little town on west coast of Ireland.
- Claremorris, Ireland: Small town in west of Ireland. Spent many enjoyable days there as a child.
- Springfield, Illinois: State capitol and home of Abraham Lincoln.
- Washington, D.C.: Beautiful city. Endless things to see and do.
- Sainte-Mère-Église: French town in Normandy. Site of paratrooper landings on D-Day. Immortalized in movie The Longest Day.
- Paris: If you have been to Paris you know why it is on the list.
