Oddly, the US is moving in the other direction and is cutting its Navy.
Given the potential importance of Asia in the next few decades and the potential threat of China and North Korea, should the US be cutting its Navy?
We cannot assume that future conflict will be like those in Afghanistan and Iraq, nor can we assume that Naval battles are a thing of the past.
